A Mount Isa local, born and raised, Callan has dabbled in trucks and machinery from a very early age. As a young fella, Callan experimented in the maintenance and operation of roadtrains while filling a role of yardie/labourer for Ringrose Transport - gaining experience in diesel engines along the way. Once school was done, Callan secured and completed an apprenticeship with Mount Isa Mines as a diesel fitter, before coming onboard with SMH in 2011. Callan brings a great wealth of technical knowledge and diagnostic ability not mention his great attention to detail. Callan now manages the Mount Isa facility operations, overseeing our Parts and Service departments.
